Warehouse/Transport Planning Manager

Job Summary
In this role you will be responsible for managing the transport/warehouse planning department. The transport/warehouse planning department is working in a two shift pattern (approx. 4 FTE).

You will be working closely with the Operations Manager to jointly make sure the agreed KPI’s are met. In this function you are responsible to plan the orders in accordance with agreed lead times and capacity. You agree and communicate priorities with customers, carriers and warehouse when necessary. The right candidate for this job is able to identify operational issues/opportunities and look for process improvements. As a result of that you report the performance on a daily basis and communicate pro-actively exceptions/delays including problem solving in case of carrier and customer escalations.

For this position, we are looking for a candidate who is strong in building a relationship with carriers and customers by clear and pro-active communication.
The role is in a dayshift pattern, flexibility will be required during peaks. In this position you report into the Business Unit Manager.

Requirements

• Relevant work experience in an International Transport and Warehouse environment
• General knowledge of Customs and Transport Legislation (Import & Export)
• Excellent administration skills (experience with WMS/TMS)
• Experienced knowledge in Outlook and all MS Office especially Excel
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Capable to work under stress in Just In Time environment
• Enthusiastic and energetic personality, can-do attitude
• Work accurate and punctual
• Flexible attitude (willing to work overtime and weekends)
