Eurofins is developing eLIMS-NG (Eurofins Laboratory Information Management System, the Next Generation), a comprehensive and integrated suite of tools and applications to support production processes in our laboratories worldwide. Eurofins Analytico in Barneveld has been selected as pilot laboratory for the deployment of eLIMS-NG.

ICT Developer Interfaces (1 FTE)

Job description:

• Building new and updating existing small Dot Net C# and Vb.Net applications (Bridges) that are mainly involved with database access – transferring data between databases (of different types);
• For some data, Bridges need to interact with other Bridges maintained by other departments;
• Oracle/PLSql. Mainly for the extraction of data from Oracle databases, with some updating of Oracle Databases;
• SQL Server/T-SQL/Ado.Net. Mainly for updating SQL Databases, with some data extraction;
• Extracting database data to be packaged into XML to send to existing applications that apply data to receiving database;
• Key SQL-based skill is the ability to understand and work with large and complicated data schemas and be able to write and tune high-performance queries due to the large volumes of data that must be managed.

Essentials:

• Relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree;
• 6+ year experience in a similar position;
• Excellent English language skills;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-specialists;
• Experience of StarLims advantageous;
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
