Sales Manager Sensing Solutions

Introductie
Sales Manager is a senior position within Sales and Marketing team of Sensata Sensing Solutions Europe reporting directly to the Commercial Director EMEA/India of the Electrical Protection and Industrial Sensing business Units of the Europe Sensing Solutions division. The position is responsible for the management and development of the European sales team to ensure growth of net revenue through the closure of profitable new business opportunities.

Role
  • Manage and lead the sales organization to achieve the targeted profitable sales growth year-on-year.
  • Responsible in developing the sales structure to reflect the requirements of the customers and expectations of the sales team within Sensata.
  • Responsible for the sales organization with regard to account strategies, tactics, and management contacts and creating the necessary internal “buy-in”. In addition address with the Account manager any critical issues that arise at the customer and ensure good communication back to the internal organisation.
  • Through alignment of the Company goals and marketing strategies manage the priorities and administer the bonus scheme for the sales team to ensure closure of key programmes.
  • Contribute to the annual plan, quarterly updates and long range planning processes. In addition report back to through the organisation reports, biweekly highlights and actions from the regular Sales meetings.
  • In conjunction with the marketing and engineering teams help identify the next generation of growth opportunities and support the smooth integration of new product developments in the portfolio.
  • Development and training plans for each of the sales team to handle the dynamic nature of the market and counter the increasing array of purchasing tactics employed.
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate global Key Account Management across the business segments to reflect the customer divergent expectations.
  • Through regular communication with the Sales Managers / Global Account Managers in Asia and North America co-ordinate the Sensata approach to Global and regional customers.
  • Working with Marketing and Engineers input requirements of the market / customers for the development of new ideas and launch / implementation of new products.

Organization:
  • Reports to the Commercial Direction EMEA/India Electrical Protection and Industrial Sensing
  • Senior Member of the Sensing Solutions Europe Leadership team and should ensure internal representation of the sales team requirements and concerns.
  • Responsible for the European sales force and management of their business objectives and personal development plans.

Job requirements
  • Educated to a minimum of Bachelor degree level ideally with a Masters in business or engineering.
  • Successful track record of growth and sales closures through customer management ideally in a cross section of markets.
  • Good experience and proven track record in negotiations, including global contracts.
  • Proven track record of developing strategies and driving through change.
  • Excellent knowledge of English. Additional languages would also be advantageous.
  • Experience of leading a team, ideally in a sales environment
  • Team orientated with good communications skill, both verbally and written
  • Willing to travel internationally and has experience of working in international teams and across different cultures.
